Latest Murmurings
West Ham are linked with a £5.5 million grab for Liverpool striker Milan Baros. Er, no thanks!
Also, TEAMTalk has (prior to the Benayoun capture) linked us with Jason Koumas for £1.5 million or a loan. With the capture of Yossi this transfer now looks less likely, but it's possible that Pardew would like to cover his bases with another playmaker. I reckon a striker would be first on the agenda now, though.
Chris Cohen is no longer going to Bournemouth as he has developed a groin injury, which will keep him out of action for four weeks or so - enough to force the Cherries to look elsewhere.

Subs unused: Bucek (GK), Mullins, Harewood. Looks like Newton played at left-back - make of this what you will. Chadwick got two assists (for Fletcher and Sheringham), and Etheringtone one assist for Z-man.
Unless I'm mistaken it's now 6 goals in 5 matches for Bobby - let's hope he carries this sort of form into the Premiership!
