Davids to Spurs?

According to the BBC site (link here), Spurs are claiming to have captured Edgar Davids. This was all a horrifying read until I noticed this little bit towards the end:

Hughton is also confident Davids is bound for White Hart Lane - despite still needing to agree personal terms and pass a medical.
So they haven't even agreed personal terms? Aren't they celebrating a little too early?

Anyway, I don't care if we don't get him - I just hope Spurs don't get him either.
