Spector Signs!
USA international defender Jonathan Spector has signed a permanent deal from Man United for 500k. He spent the majority of last season on loan at Charlton where from memory he spent most of the time at left back. However I understand this young 20YO stopper can play anywhere across the back and his versatility could make his chances of breaking into the first team better than that of of Clive Clarke. If as hoped we are to sign a first choice right back then I expect Clarke's days at West Ham to be numbered. But at 500k (small change in today's market) from what I've seen of Spector, it is probably money well spent.
