West Ham vs Palermo Live @ the Pig n Whistle, Eagle Street, Brisbane!
***note doors will open approx 4:45am for 5am kick off***
Due to an excellent relationship between the Brisbane Hammers and the Pig n Whistle, they are kindly going to open up for Live coverage of our opening game in the UEFA Cup so we can cheer on the Hammers on their European Tour. This match is only being shown on Setanta Sports so this is the only way to see this match in Australia.
Breakfast will be available from 7am so please show your thanks to the venue and hang around for breaky if possible. Drinks will be available from 7am if you are eating. Tea and coffee can be purchased when we arrive.
Coverage begins @ 4:45am this Friday 15th September.

just remembering something about during the WC when people had to be in pubs by 3am for the 5am kickoffs because of the lockout - does that apply here?

Good Question Dickster, going to do my darnest to get up, though i did miss the villa game and the tv was only just out my bedroom door.
3am would be a stretch, but 4.30, sounds great.

No dickster - this is a midweek morning start - and consequently I don't think there will be booze involved. I will certainly double check - if it is a problem I'll post here otherwise assume ok.

Hey beggers, I was down surfers on the weekend..if you can swing a hammers game on that massive outdoor screen me & the missus and maybe a few others would come down for it...that screen rocks!!

Ok..screen is owned privately by "Circle on Cavill".
They have a web site (that I can't get to from work at the moment)- http://www.circlebigscreen.com where you can see upcoming scheduling but only 1 week in advance.
Apparently after the end of October they hope to be able to show foxtel content and they would be open to requests to show a game.

beggers, I have a plan for the beer situation...it involves one of those ice vests used by the aussie rules players filled with stella.
Could make it in the shape of a teenage mutant ninja turtle and market it as the "Beer Shell". Just think how funny it would be when Dave falls over and is stuck on his back on the shell too pissed to right himself again.
Keep it to ya'self till I lodge the patents.
