Brisbane Hammers: Charlton Game Live @ Pig n Whistle, Eagle St.
Live from The Valley 3pm London time Saturday February 24
KO 1am Saturday night/Sunday morning Brisbane!
(We will be at the pub from 10pm.)
This one is definately confirmed!
This game will be do or die for the not so happy at the moment hammers. Ensure you pull out all the stops to make it a big night and get yourselves down the pig n whistle - hopefully the hammers will replay your faith and give you some hope for survival this season. The game pits two neck and neck relegation favourites whereby each manager will be facing their former employers to add extra spice to the occasion.
Pig n Whistle
123 Eagle St
Brisbane
Be there or be square! Come on you Irons!

I actually sent an email enquiry a couple weeks ago about getting some pin badges made up but got no reply. I'll follow it up.
I thought if they gave me a reasonable quote I'd get some made up. They also did t-shirts, baseball caps etc so I thought I would see how the badges went and then maybe branch out a bit further. Obviously not for profit of course but I'd want to recoup costs.
If anybody knows of anywhere in Brisbane that does anything like this let me know.

I might see if I can come up with a more generic Aussie Hammers design as well as the Qld one, for the non-Qld'ers out there.

Good God, it's the Football 365 podcast
It's every bit as smutty as you'd expect and it is about football. :)

This isn't encouraging...
West Ham misfit Carlos Tevez says he barely speaks to manager Alan Curbishley.
And he's also revealed that he's forced to read team tactics off a blackboard.
The Argentine World Cup star has failed to find the net since arriving in the Premiership last August.
But he still wants to fight to get the Hammers out of relegation trouble.
Tevez told The Sun: "The manager speaks to you very little. They put the set-pieces on a blackboard and you have to go up and read it - it's a much colder way of doing things.
"But I do feel relaxed here. I feel comfortable at the club.
"The people adore me, chant my name and treat me well. My wish is to get the team out of this situation we're in. I am not thinking about leaving.
"I don't want a situation to happen here like the ones that happened at Boca Juniors and Corinthians where, for reasons beyond football, I had to leave - and I left in a bad way.
"I don't want people to think I'm a trouble-maker. When I leave, I want to leave on good terms. I do miss my family and friends a lot."

Magnusson declares war on relegation
If a chairman sets the tone at a football club, West Ham seem to have an ideal man at the helm in their predicament. As Eggert Magnusson looks ahead to a defining period for the club, beginning at home to Watford today, his attitude is unmistakable. "I am a fighter, a born fighter," he says. "I love fights, so the only thing I am thinking about is to fight my way out of where we are at the moment. I believe the players, manager, directors and our fans will stay behind us and get us there."

I'll be up for it, I think. Is anyone driving out Redbank way though, who I could bum a lift home with? What time will everyone be leaving at once the game is over?

I think we'll be leaving pretty much straight after the game as they will probably close up the pub.

Read on some web pages where there were those who were going to sing Pards name during the game? FFS!Hardly going to inspire the manager and players now is it! Bit of a cheer for him before the whistle perhaps, but as soon as the game starts he may as well be Wenger far as I'm concerned.
ALAN CURBISHLEYS CLARET AND BLUE ARMY!!

The only positive about tonight's game is that I had the same "no chance" feeling before the Man U game.
It's now or never.
