Watford 1 Wigan 1 - First Prediction Correct ;-)
My first prediction (well it was a hope more than a prediction) came true last night when Watford and Wigan drew 1-1. All we need now is to thump Charlton on Saturday and prove my prediction of a 1-1 draw wrong, here's hoping!

A watford win would have been better. Still it gives us a little hope but what concerns me is Wigan seem to have a little fight in them at the moment which we don't have - they had been reduced to 10 men from the 20th minute.

Dunno whether a Watford win would've been better Dave? Would have got us closer to Wigan yeah but would have dropped us to 2nd from bottom also. I still think a draw was the best result for us.

At least Wigan didn't win, that would have been the death nail for us I reckon. And that game in hand seemed to be hang'n over us forever! So thank fuck that's over and we've a target to go for. But at the end of the day it won't make a blind bit of difference unless we win a fistful of games. First things first. Charlton
I expect Charlton will come at us and why wouldn't they, so I hope we get straight back at them. We need to attack them with speed, keep turning them around and FFS run at them. They are as woeful as us so I see this being just about who wants it the most. Suspect it won't be pretty but it will be right up there for passion.
NRC is suspended, so I'd play Yossi in the middle with Mullins, Ethers on the left and Harewood on the right. Tevez (pls god) and Blanco up front with Bobby coming on with 20-25 to go.
Pls God let my football team win this game.

Beex - Watford win would definately be better - think about it - the distance we need to make up is between us and Wigan - there is no prize for finishing 18th - we need to finish 17th - that job would be easier @ 5 point gap rather than 6.

Nah mate this was Curbs plan all along. Charlton now think we won't be up for it, but mate are they in for a surprise! C'mon Charlton, lets be 'avin ya!
I feel like they spokesman for Suddam when Iraq was being overrun "there is no invasion"!
Seriously mate, I suspect all concerned are pretty pissed off what with Watford doing us twice, everyone writing the team off, including us, Pards V Curbs, it'll be firey. There'll be yellow cards a plenty.

Dave, let's agree to disagree on this one. I reckon it's better for the teams morale to know that they are 3rd from bottom not second going into the Charlton game although I take your point completely.
All I know is it's about time we gave someone a fuckin hiding and I for one hope it's on Saturday.

well this is it, nothing but three points will do anything less and our fate will be sealed. I have to hold on to the belief that curbs and the boys can get us out of this predicament. Ashton would be such a bonus and if he believes hes up for it why not give him 20-30 mins, cant leave it any longer we could be relegated before he was to get a chance. Please you HAMMERS show us the fight and spirit of years gone by!!!!!!!!!!!
