Brisbane Hammers: Sheff Utd game on Fox
This weekend's do or die clash at Sheff Utd is live on foxtel @ 11.55pm this Saturday 14th April.
I wont be out this weekend as I've had quite a full on week and need to stay at home & support my family but I will be cheering on the hammers from the comfort of my sofa. If any of you fancy it the Pig n Whistle will be showing the game for sure so go down and have another meet with the lads. Hopefully I'll be able to come out for at least one more game this season. Anyway if you want to suss out what everybody is doing - use the comments on this thread to organise yoursleves.
We had a huge support at the pig n whistle last week for the win against the gooners and I expect you'll all be itching to get out there and cheer on the lads again!
Also the Chelsea game will be televised on fox this Thursday morning - kick off 4:45am.

Typical, I Knew this would happen. The one weekend im in Sydney everyone gets together. So if we lose youll have to blame both me and Dave.
(Though we were both there at Fulham, Charlton and Arsenal)

To answer your question in full Stu, Foxtel is like Sky in England. It has foxsports 1,2 & 3 just like sky has skysports 1,2 & 3. FYI I think the weekend's game is on foxsports 2. :-)

I will be there. Last week vs Arsenal was great but this week i will be heaps nervous as this game is crucial for survival. I think we will win it 2-1.

This game and the Wigan game are the real nailbiters methinks. Arsenal was a bonus win so that's good. I feel we need to contain Sheff Utd as they're gonna try and out scrap us. It's gonna be like a Championship game this one and I for one am glad we got Mark Noble and Lee Bowyer scrapping in the middle for us. Hopefully our extra quality will see us win narrowly but I think it's gonna be a real dirty game this one. 2-1 to us.

Terry: I always get nervous when Hammers fans start making predictions, I hope you're right.
I should be along too. As it is only my second Brisbane Hammers match I'll probably bring the Doris along for moral support - no one's to laugh at her sunburn incurred by wearing a cross-body bag (you get the picture!)

I think the Norven Monkeys had 3 shots and scored each time, we had 3 and got none! Poor finishing from the strikers today as well, including Tevez.
Just not good enough. Absolutely no midfield today. No width, no energy, no enthusiasm, no skill, nothing! You'd never no we were fighting for our survival.
Sheffield were also useless and I hope they also get relegated, they are crap!
We will have to play teams like this every week in the CCC. It will not be pretty and every bastsrd will want to give us a kick'n being a 'BIG CLUB' so we better get some balls real quick.

On the optimistic side I had us down for a draw on this one and a loss against L'Arse so we ended up with 2 more points than I thought. What is it with us?? Fuckin buncha kunce. I think that the reality is that the bottom of the league is like the Championship and those teams that can scrap will survive and those (like us) that can't are doomed. We can't seem to find a balance between flair and grit. Dunno....very disappointed by this result but can't say I'm really surpised :-(

Tevez missed a sitter, Neill was unlucky and anton did exactly what he did against the yids. I knew as soon as he gave it away it would be 1-0 to sheffield.

You just knew when Tevez missed that was it for us.The display they served up to us was nothing short of PATHETIC,it seems to me the second we play any team were we are given a chance of winning we fall to shit.Was absolutely gutted last night and so wanted to turn the tv off but couldnt bring myself to do it.But in saying all that it wouldnt surprise me if they came out against Chelski and got some sort of result.Heres hoping anyway!!!!!!!!!!!
