There is still hope!
I know you don't think it but there is. Not much has changed since before the weekend. Charlton lost and Wigan drew. If we were to take 4 or 6 points in our next 2 games then it is all back on. Fulham will be lucky if they pick up another point this season and Wigan and Charlton have a rough run of games. I know things didn't happen at the weekend but it wasn't from lack of endeavour. Personally I thought the effort rate was up there and had some of our early chances been capitalised on then it would've been a different game. The 3-0 scoreline was very flattering to Sheffield United and that gives me hope that we will go into the next game with our chins held up high. If we win 3 out of our final 5 games then the odds are we'll stay up - there is hope fellas - don't give up now!

I feel we will beat Chelsea, these are the types of games we do win! Crowd will be up for it, players will too and the pressure is off a little as once more it looks unlikely that we can stay up.
The main problem is that we can't win the crunch games vs those in the depths with us. Watford, Charlton and now Sheff Utd.
Having said that we have a good record at the JJB.
So how about this:
Chelsea WIN
Everton WIN
Wigan WIN
Bolton WIN
Man utd BOTHERED WE WILL BE SAFE!!

Tevez was out of sorts spurning chances that he should have at least made the keeper save and him and Bob just didn't link up that well at all.
Apart from up front I thought we were ok but Anton to me seems down in confidence and form.
Curbs however worried me. Why bring on Mullins at all? Why take off Matty when he was just starting to get a head of steam up & run through some flimsy defence at will? Had he been watching the game at all?
Sure bring Kepa on and have a run at them but he could have done that intelligently...
Anything less that 3 points against Chelsea will snuff out the light at the end of the tunnel....so lets do those cunts.

Pardew deserves to go down for his complete inability to use the Argies and I hope Whinging Wigan join them.

The Chelsea game is on Fox at 4.55am on Thursday morning, does anyone know if the Pig 'n' Whistle, or any other pubs, are opening for it do they?

Sorry lads, I think we are well and truly gone.
There is the smallest amount of hope of course and that's why I'll be watching the Chelski game like the rest of you but I don't expect to win. Infact I can't see us picking up any other wins at all. Everton and Bolton are both fighting to get into Europe and will play accordingly, chelski, manure, say no more and Wigan and we have shown we can't beat teams around us.
Usually Dave is the face of reality but even he still thinks we can actually stay up!
I admire you all for keeping the faith but I'm stuggling.
I hope to Christ I'm wrong and will gladly accept being slagged off if I'm wrong. Pls God let me be wrong!!!

In Melbourne for Op tomorrow hope to wake up to hear that we've smashed Chelski. We can still do it but fuck we make it hard for ourselves and to be honest on this season I don't think we deserve it

I think we are screwed. We need a miracle if we are going to survive and we definetly cant play like we did vs sheffield. I now dont expect us to survive so if we do it will be a bonus. Come what may, I believe that a year (maybe 2 but hopefully not) in the fizzy pop will be a positive long term outcome for WHU.
You can see that we lose to teams around us because we don't have the physical toughness anymore. The Hammers have lost it and can get it back in the CCC. It will bring toughness back into the side (well needed)and bring the hunger back to UP.
So whether we stay up or not its all good!!
PS. I'll still be watching and hoping

"I shouldn't think so, not the way it is going. There is a 20-man squad for the game [Chelsea] and I am not in it, so I can't see it changing much really."
