No Niang & Other News

Marmaduke (or was it Mamadou?) Niang has joined Marseille for £4.75 million, saying that the challenge was too irresistable.

The People (the newspaper, not the Great Unwashed) have made the bold claim that the Hammers want to swap Robbie Keane for our Marlon. Apparently Pardew has made inquiries about the Irish Archer and Spurs have stated that they want Harewood as part of a swap deal. Tell 'em they're dreeeamin', Alan!

The same prestigious news source has linked us with Jason Euell, although they say Charlton's £2.8 million price tag is too steep for the moment.

They're also not the only publication to suggest that we're interested in Pele. No, not the talented old Brasilian with erectile dysfunction, but the 25-year-old Portuguese defender Pedro Pele. He is supposedly about to sign a three-year contract within the next few days, while his old club OS Belenenses walk away £1.7 million richer.
