Klinsmann for Socceroos??
It appears Jurgen the German has shot to top of the favourites list to become the next manager of Australia. Jurgen caused a mini shock at the world cup last year by guiding Germany to 3rd place and would be seen as a good long term replacement for Guus Hiddink who caused some suprizes of his own at the last world cup.
Being West Ham obviously this doesn't sit too well with Jurgen being a former yid and if you're also an England fan you'll remember the dirty diving cheating scum at Italia '90.

I Honestly think that if Australia are going to advance as a footballing nation they need european guidance. Though not Terry Venables guidance of course.

Did well motivating his countryman during the WC, but not convinced he could do the same with our lads? Would rather see an established,experienced, professional coach get the nod.

I'd back the Jurgmeister all the way. Germany played some thrilling football under him. A class player and decent manager - definitely good news. Couldn't care less if he's ex-Spurs.

Klinsmann was just the figure head and motivator. There's no way you guys give the job to him.
Joachim Löw who is now in charge was considered to be the real tactician which is why he took over immediately after Jurgen departed.
Luis van Gaal would be better. I wanted him for us, but instead we got that great coaching sage, Alan Curbishley instead.

Dave - OK maybe "couldn't care less" isn't quite true, but frankly it's more important to me as an Ozki that the oz football team does well than it is worrying about it being due to some ex-Spurs dude. It was before my time anyway so I don't really remember.

Benayoun in pledge to stay at West Ham
Yossi Benayoun became the first West Ham United player to pledge his future to the club since Alan Curbishley became manager. The Israeli international midfielder insisted he would reject any overtures from their London rivals Tottenham.

The thing is that article says nothing about relegation. Yossi never says in anyu of the quotes "I will not leave if West Ham are relegated". He only states that he beleives we can survive and that he is happy at the club.

Yossi won't stay if we get relegated. Infact you can bet your life that the players you want to stay will leave and those you want to leave will stay.
On a different topic, was in Rebel sport last week checking out the EPL shirts. All the usual suspects were in stock, LeArse, Chelscum, Manure, wank bloody wank, but out mire of shit football clubs was a rack of West Ham shirts, thank you Lord! Admittedly they were behind some Brazil kit so I moved them and put them in front of the Chelscum shirts.
C'MON YOU IRONS and by the way 2-1 to us this weekend.

WORD has it that Matthew Upson, Lucas Neill and Luis Boa Morte have all agreed to stay at West Ham despite relegation appearing a certainty.
The new recruits, who were signed in January for a combined fee of around £12.5million, could have taken advantage of release clauses if certain figures were met following the drop.
But it's believed that all three players have pledged to help the Hammers enjoy an instant return to the Premiership next season, with chairman Eggert Magnusson convincing them of his long-term ambitions.
That's just the news that West Ham fans will want to hear, because the club will need to hold onto its better players if it is to stand any chance of gaining promotion next term.
As the Hammers discovered four years ago, relegation generally results in a wholesale clear-out of players because it becomes so difficult to sustain a substantial wage bill in the Championship.
Thankfully, things are different this time around, with Magnusson in a financial position to support the club in a way that his predecessor Terence Brown was never able to.
That's not to say several big earners will not be offloaded, with under-achievers such as Nigel Reo-Coker and Anton Ferdinand likely to be plotting their escape routes to other top-flight outfits already.
Others, such as Dean Ashton and Yossi Benayoun, may be difficult to hold on to if big bids land on the Upton Park doormat.

What a dull depressing and absolutly shit half of football. How we aren't 2-0 down i have no idea, just as i have no idea why McCartney hasnt been shot! He's been terrible.
The only thing positive out of that half is the fact that i Laugh everytime they Boo Lucas Neill. I Love it it doesnt affect him at all.
Did anyone see, (Im pretty sure the commentator pointed it out), when tevez was on the right ducking and dodging holding possesion the whole time, he had absolutly no support whatsoever! Reminds me of that boro game back in november.
