Need to win our next 3 games then hope. I think the writings on the wall and in truth probably has been for some time. :-(
Still mathmatically possible and you will always have hope when that is the case.
I feel a bit sad that we're going to see players like Tevez, Yossi & Neill (who has been fantastic the last few weeks) leave.

Can i put in the suggestion that if we have even the slightest chance of staying up in the last round. (Genst Man Utd) That we meet up. I like the meetings and if theres hope ill go for it.
IT wasnt all to bad in the first half, and if zamora had put the ball past check in those first few minutes of the 2nd half. IT might have been a different game.

What a great first half, but the question that keeps hitting me square in the face is why the inconsistenancy?Hope lives on but i think inevitabilty is our reality.

least Collins kicked Drogba in the face. (you know those old movies that show you getting to throw a sponge to dunk a celebrity...how much could you make selling tickets to kick Drogba in the face..mega$$$)
And Collins didn't even get booked .
Had anybody else not even got to sit down from celebrating the Tevez goal before they scored again?
I have no probs with Yossi for Bowyer and jigging the back 4 to leave out Anton but LBM for Matty was st00pid imho.

Lucas Neill was atrocious this morning. Caught ball watching for SWP's second goal and should have done better for Drogba's.

Anon - yeah he's been good in recent weeks tho. I thought he was one of the better performers vs Sheff Utd.
I agree that 2nd Goal was amateur today. I initially blamed Collins for leaving his man but your right - he shouldn't have had to leave his man.
Collins has done ok over the last few weeks and if we do go down I hope he stays and establishes himself at the heart of our defence. I think maybe him and Upson could be the partnership for next season.

Norven, i certainly didnt havet time. I didnt even get a chance for it to sink in. Lampard should have been done for that attempted tackle too.

I think the Chelsea game just about sums up our year.
We concede super goals,We can't defend set pieces and our defence at times look comical.
Typical of so many matches this season when we go more than a goal down we just give up.
I still live in hope until 2am this Sunday morning.Blackburn knocking over Fulham and probably Charlton doing the blades are the results we need to go our way.
Surely Curbishley can find a team who are willing to fight till the end.
My team for Everton would be

I know we're a bit tight at the bottom, and as much as it pains me to say this given where we all think Chelski can stick there fcuking blue flag, but can you remember what happened the last time Man U came to the Boleyn needing to win to take the title.....

Firstly, good plan Risky. Will do my best to get there if it happens. Don't matter if we're down or not. Might be the last chance to get together for a while. Well at least till this time next year when we'll be in FA Cup final :)
Thought the score line flattered Chelski. Green had bugger all to do but get the ball out of the net and there was the difference, they took their chances and we didn't. LBM and Bobby both had half chances within minutes of the start of the 2nd half and that would've changed everything.
Lucas had a mare for him and was at fault for a couple of goals IMO. But in saying that he's the best defender we've got and he's been a rock in recent weeks so alls forgiven.
Biggest disappointment for me was Yossi and LBM. Unlike norvern I can see why LBM was given a chance as Ethers has been shit all season and I hope he pisses off TBH. But LBM isn't much better. A very good player who looks a shadow of his former self. Same for Yossi. Love the bloke but he doesn't have the impact on the game he used too. We have dearly missed his influence this season.
Anyway, although I HOPED to beat Chelski I never really expected to so the result was no surprise.
HOPE is all we've got now but we'll be playing CCC football next year unless a miracle happens. But we are WEST HAM and miracles don't happen to us.
Anmyway no matter what happens I'll be watching and supporting to the bitter end and always will.
