Hammers 2 - 0 Boro
Two victories on the bounce! Too late? We'll have to wait and see. To me the next 2 games are critical. Arsenal next week and they are not on good form - a gutsy performance from us could see an upset but we will have to work for it. Then 3 points vs Sheffield United is the most important 3 points of the season.
Back to the game. A very accomplished performance - perhaps the most assured performance of the season. No players really to critisise - stand out players for me were Noble, Tevez & Zamora. Zamora's 2nd minute opener smashed into the bottom corner after some great work by Tevez down the wing set the game up for West Ham to dominate. A hatful of chances went begging until Tevez picked up the spills in the 6 yard box in the 43rd minute to smash a hole in the net to make it 2-0.
There is hope, however slight - it is there! Bring on the gooners!

I forgot my deal with you guys, went to bed early and set my alarm to watch the game on the internet. When I tried I couldn't get a feed so gave up. So I still didn't watch the game and we're still winning!

Risky - Charlton away was a low point for me mate. I still think those 2 lost games vs Charlton and Watford could make all the difference at the end of the season.

Well Well, who would of thought that Carlos and Noble would be the 2 that start and continue the turn around in West Hams fortune.
Carlos could easily gone 'bugger this WestHam Team, I'm going to Europe at the end of the season', and Young Mark has put himself about like RoyKeane in his hey day.

At least the Hammers were being honest a month ago. Now they are just being cruel.
The Hammers were relegated from the Premiership on March 4, if not February 24. Since those defeats to Tottenham and Charlton they've joined the ranks of the living dead. To feign life and suggest hope through two fortunate victories will only succeed in prolonging their supporters' agony.
Carlos Tevez
The signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano are an enduring mystery of the 2006/07 season. Heralded as the spark that would enable West Ham "to challenge the best in Europe", the FA may yet judge their acquisition illegal and swiftly banish the Hammers to the English second-tier with a hefty points deduction.
From a purely footballing perspective, the mystery is why the Hammers, under the tutelage of the two Alans, Pardew and Curbishley, failed so spectacularly to integrate the two Argentines into their teams. Only now, when it is too late, is Tevez displaying his frenetic quality, while Mascherano's class is serving new employers.
Their mis-use should consign the two Alans to the rank of mid-management for the rest of their careers. Incredibly, Curbishley admitted on Saturday that his decision to include Tevez was based on the decibel levels inside Upton Park. "The crowd were singing for him, I didn't know too much about him and he hadn't scored, but the crowd kept singing for him," he admitted. "It put a bit of pressure on me."
