England Squad Announced!

Steve McClaren has taken the bold decision to omit former captain David Beckham from his first England squad, while there is a place in the party for West Ham striker Dean Ashton.
Beckham, who has 94 caps to his name, stepped down as skipper following the World Cup finals and his position in the team was immediately called into question.
It was believed that he would be included in the squad to face Greece, but McClaren has opted against selecting a player he worked with during their time together at Manchester United.
Beckham stated at the time of his decision to step down as captain that he planned to make himself available for selection and he will hope his last act in England colours will not be to limp off injured during the quarter final defeat to Portugal.
Ashton has been rewarded for his fine efforts for West Ham last term with a place in the party, with some seeing him as the man to act as the foil for Wayne Rooney.
Sol Campbell and David James were key figures for Sven Goran Eriksson, but they have been axed in favour of Ben Foster and Michael Dawson.
Phil Neville has, though, returned from the international wilderness, while Shaun Wright-Phillips has also been given the nod by the former Middlesbrough manager.

SYDNEY, Aug 12 (Reuters) - All Blacks flyhalf Dan Carter has been spotted playing soccer in Christchurch, New Zealand Press Association reported on Saturday.
Carter, one of the world's best flyhalfs, was kicking the round ball in the colours of Nomads soccer club.
New Zealand rugby officials have not commented on the reports amid suggestions that Carter could be breaking the conditions of his contract with the All Blacks by playing competitive soccer.
