Using googlerankings.com to check for "West Ham" or "West Ham United" and you URL, it doesn't appear at all.
Perhaps the name "West Ham" doesn't appear enough or becasue there's no text page heading, just a graphic.
Also, try changing the Alt text "Pix" to "West Ham"

Apparently google picks up on this. Basically anything that adds to the importance of the term "West Ham" in relation to your site.
Boring stuff, but no one searches for "whu-bris".

Kepa Blanco the Sevilla striker will todya make a decision whether to join Man City or West Ham on loan for the rest of the season.
Hmmm mid table or relegation candidates. I think this will end in more disapointment. :-(

Seeing as you have WHU-AU in the graphic, maybe if you just put West Ham in the title under settings, google might pick it up. Strange that since June 2005, it's still not in google when you search for "West Ham" alone. Obviously that would be the most popular search query for your site. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas. :)

RAFA WARNING ON NEILL DEAL
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has warned that he's running out of patience with Lucas Neill after the Aussie apparently demanded more money when West Ham made their interest known. Rafa says: "If he thinks about it for too long, maybe it's a signal it's time for us to look for other players. We have alternatives."

Google picks up West Ham from the title. The main thing is links from other sites - the higher ranked links you get, and the more of them, the higher Google ranks the site. So link away on forums and websites folks :-)

Other West Ham sites are linking it as whu-birs, so there's still no West Ham relevance. I'm just guessing. Otherwise it's stange that google is being so picky.
Still, it's popular enough, so it's not a big deal.
