Defensive Curse Strikes Again!!!
Can you beleieve Upson has just gone off injured after 27 minutes??? This takes the piss!

5 points Dave but we look pretty fucked. They snuffed out our midfield pretty well and we only had those cupla chances at the end and the one off the bar. Not a good performance by us, they deserved to win on the first half performance. We look scared going forward, not a good sign. I'm still in the half glass full camp but it's gonna go all the way.

Beex - I was counting our pathetically inferior goal difference therefore 6 points mate!
I'm totally 3 quarters empty mate - there's barely anything left in my glass. Curtains!

DId anyone else notice, there were aout 2 teed up chances where if theyd just tried to take a shot they might have gone in, instead (i think) zamora completely missed one, and i think it was yossi, just tried to control it and lost the ball.
Barring a miracle, im preparing for the championship next year.
ON another note i almost felt like crying after that. Very emo of me

Fucking unbelievable bad luck this season. FUCK!!!!! Can't do anything but throw your hands in the air oh and swear heaps.
It ain't over, but playing against Barnley et al is just around the corner.If we don't win the next 2 games, with Wigan losing at least one of theirs, it'll be all over IMO.
Hows Pompeys form losing to Charlton and now Wigan. FFS!!! Conspiracy anyone?

Yeah, makes my first post (below) a tad obsolete. We're really up against it now. When I watched the replay of the goal I couldn't see how Carroll (who got a good hand to it) couldn't have tipped it around the post for a corner. But maybe it was a deceivingly hard shot from Carew (who looks awesome by the way, wish we had him!!) Not bagging Carroll who had a good game made a cupla excellent saves and you could hear him really getting up the defence.Maybe that's why Curbs is playing him instead of Green? But when Dailly came on for Upson (who looked pretty good for his 24 mins or so) my gloom was starting. Dailly to his credit didn't play any worse than the rest of the team who didn't wake up until 88mins when we went close twice and hit the bar. Very disappointing performance, Villa dictated from the start, NRC ran his guts out, Yossi's passing's gone astray of late but he came good and looked dangerous. Quashie had his worst game for us, kept giving the ball away and Boa Morte was absent for much of the game. Davenport was ok, but still not convinced with Mc Cartney. Kepa looked ordinary but had nice touches, think he will settle in well and Zamora like NRC ran his heart out to no avail. Marlon and Ethers came on for Kepa and Boa Morte and like I said there was a late flurry from us but whereas last year we really went at teams from the first whistle we looked scared and players used to taking people on are choosing the easier lay off. It looks grim folks but I'm with Beggers, if we don't win the next 2 , we're down.

Finally somebody else here can see it! I tell you what beex he did this alot more against Liverpool! But yeah West Ham can not hold on to the ball in midfield at the moment.
Matty did more in 15 minutes than LBM did in 75. I don't understand why everybody is against Matty - LBM has been pants.

I think Boa Morte is Portugese for bad deal.Quashie was poor but NRC has improved with Quashie in midfield. Maybe Quashie was only bought to try and take some heat off good old Nige. I think I was close to being physically sick when I saw Upson walk off.
The only positive was the finish of the game and Etherington playing well after he came on.
