Deano to Start Cup Match?
Reports are suggesting that Dean Ashton will get his first start of the season in tomorrow night's league cup match away to Bristol Rovers. Hopefully he will get himself on the scoresheet and make Curbs realise that he should be starting in the League vs Reading on Saturday.
Good luck Deano.

Probably did which is where the rumours I've heard came from?? ;-) sorry been away for the weekend so I don't know about the press conference. Anyway point being if he does play lets hope he goes well and keeps his place in the side for the league games where we seem to be lacking firepower at the moment.

It is definately time to start Deano.Bobby has not started as well as i had hoped, missing that cutting edge.Liked the way we combined once Deano,Boa-Morte and Bowyer came on we looked a far more dangerous side.Surely we have a better answer in the midfield than Mullins (not a fan at all) gives far to many balls away.We need some flair in there, Noble is our hard man and workhorse in the ctr mid.Cant wait for Parker to get fit.

yeah fair play....he trys hard, but i just cant see why he would possibly start ahead of bowyer
Norven- it sounded harsh but it was more of a "Hayden could you be so kind as to fuck off to the bench...thank you"

they are different types of players to be fair. Mullins is a holding/defensive midfield player and while Bowyer can play a harrying role, he is an attack minded midfielder. The other central midfielder requires a Mullins style player to holde the fort.
In Parker's absense Mullins is the only fit holding midfielder we have.
Bellamy just smashed in a cracker!!!!!
