Hammers stun Seagulls
[Insert lame joke about giant-killers West Ham]
OK, now that the funny part is over, I'm sure I'm not the only one who is hugely relieved. I was really worried about this game but we got through, not quite with a second-string side but with some players who wouldn't normally be first choice.
Academy hotshot Mark "Gerrard II" Noble played from the start and scored his first competitive goal for the club. Good onya laddie.
NRC didn't play as he would be cup-tied if he had... Or maybe he's just crap.
Boa Morte made his debut and made an impact, crossing for the first two goals, while Tevez was also influential.
Cole scored the second and Muggers the third.
A good sign, keep it up boys!
In other news, ex-Academy graduate Izzy Iriekpen helped his League One club Swansea overcome Sheffield United 3-0 - take that, Warnock!

I too am releived. Though i am proud to say that, though jokingly, i called for Noble to be putin for NRC. And look at that. He Scores. :P
But seriously hopefully this will give us the confidence to beat fulham this weekend.
I really want to find a torrent of this game now.

Tevez was the source of 2 goals it does not matter if he scores or no his presence takes pressure of other players, today West Ham looked different Obviously they are capable I am Happy with the forward change no they need to work on the midfield then we are all set.........Tevez is amazing.

Anton was replaced with a groin strain just beofre half time.
What chance have Paintsil & Mears got if he won't even try them against Brighton. Why does he persist with Dailly ffs.
Newton got some rare game time replacing Boa Morte.

I also breathed a sigh of relief. Any wins a good one and we badly needed it.
Read on WHO where Dailly was near MOTM! Dailly gets a lot of stick but, unlike some in the squad, he's a professional footballer and gives it his all EVERY game. Apparently was the only one who tried against Reading.
Safe bet for Curbs, he knows what he in for when he plays Dailly. I don't mind Dailly, not the most gifted, but will play anywhere, anytime, no moaning, just gets stuck in. He had the armband today and apparently played like a captain should. Wonder if NRC was at the game taking captaincy notes?
I also called for Noble to replace NRC, but I wasn't joking. I like Noble, as do quite a few on here, and would like to see him get more of a run to be honest. I haven't forgot your big call on Noble whubris.
Boa was quite lively and was invloved in 2 of the goals. Good initial signs from the new boy.
Great to wake up to a win for a change, long may it continue.

Glad Tevez played and good to see Noble & Cole get appearances and goals. Super Marky Noble.
Paintsil is a great player and I don't understand why he's not had a sniff under curbs - I guess he can't play everybody and he feels Dailly is reliable ATM. I heard Dailly played awesome and was the only player at Reading not culpable.
Sound debut by Boa Morte by the sounds of things - I think he's really gonna add a new dynamic to the team - an inspired signing perhaps?
Overall very happy.
